Sales Director

Solution providers from around the world look for opportunities to network, exhibit, and pitch to their potential clients in the capacity of a Conference Sponsor. Our Sales team identifies, matches and sells sponsorship and exhibition packages to companies on the supply side of each event.

Management requirements involve overseeing and leading the team, guiding the team members, supervising their performance, KPIs measures and providing and reporting feedback to the Management.
Communicating the expectations to team members, setting goals and disciplining where necessary. The team members responsible operate in the Sales Department.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Wisdom products, the industry, and our competitors
  • Owning and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
  • Developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets
  • Attend on-line briefing meetings with producers on intellectual content and unique selling points of conferences
  • Maximising new business development opportunities
  • Motivating and managing the performance of your direct reports
  • Identify the target market for solution provider sponsorship opportunities
  • Market research and lead sourcing of potential sales prospects
  • Developing a continuous pipeline of sales leads
  • Pitching and tailoring sponsorship opportunities to clients over the telephone and face-to-face (predominantly phone based)
  • Working towards monthly sales performance targets
  • Developing long term business relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
  • Onsite management of sponsors attending conferences
  • Keeping your work up to date in the corporate CRM system
