This policy explains how personal information is used in connection with wisdom.events, corporate enquiries, business communications and Wisdom events. Event-specific notices provide additional information where relevant. Visiting this website does not, by itself, constitute consent to marketing.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Wisdom Events, UAB is responsible for this corporate website and its corporate enquiries and communications: company registration number 303095540; VAT number LT100008846611; registered address Moliakalnio g. 10, LT-10231 Vilnius, Lithuania. Contact: info@wisdom.events.

European events are organised through Wisdom Events, UAB. US events are organised through Wisdom Events, LLC, 579 West North Avenue, Suite 300, Elmhurst, IL 60126, USA. Where your information relates to a US event, the LLC is responsible for the processing it determines for that event. The relevant organiser is identified in event registration materials, invoices and communications. This policy does not make every Wisdom entity responsible for every use of your information.

2. What information we collect and where it comes from

• Information you provide: name, business email, telephone number, postal address, employer, job title, professional interests, enquiry content, registration details, survey responses and feedback. Where relevant to an event, registration information may also include educational or nationality information.
• Business contact information from other sources: professional contact details obtained from third-party business data providers and publicly available business sources, such as company websites and professional profiles. This may include name, employer, role, business email, business telephone number and professional profile links. A contact obtained from a provider is not automatically an opted-in subscriber.
• Website and technical information: IP address, browser and operating system information, referring pages and interactions with the website, including information collected through cookies and similar technologies. Such information is not necessarily anonymous.
• Event information: attendance, participation, invoicing and, where badge systems are used, entry and interactions with exhibitors or sponsors. Relevant event notices explain additional collection and uses.

If your information was obtained indirectly, you may contact us to ask about its source. Where applicable, privacy information must be provided within the required timeframe, including at the first communication with you when that occurs sooner.

3. Why we use information and the applicable grounds

• Enquiries and requested information: to respond to requests and discuss services. The basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, as applicable.
• Event administration: planning, registration, logistics, customer service and payments. The basis is performance of a contract where you are a party, or our legitimate interest in administering a business relationship where you represent an organisation.
• Accounting and legal obligations: keeping required records and responding to valid legal requirements.
• Relevant business marketing: communicating about events, participation and sponsorship opportunities, newsletters and related services, subject to the rules explained below.
• Service improvement and protection: analysing feedback, protecting systems and addressing disputes, based on legitimate interests where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

4. Business communications and your choice

We may use professional contact information from third-party business data providers or public business sources to contact prospective business customers about relevant events and services. Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, personal-data processing may rely on consent or legitimate interests in developing relevant business relationships.

A legitimate interest in processing contact data does not by itself remove a requirement for consent to send electronic marketing. Where applicable electronic-marketing rules require prior consent, that consent is required before sending. Where those rules permit business marketing without prior consent, communications must meet the applicable conditions and provide a clear, free means of refusal. Public availability or purchase of a contact is not proof of consent.

You may object to direct marketing at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact info@wisdom.events. Following an objection, your personal information must no longer be used for direct marketing, including related profiling. Limited suppression information may be retained to respect your choice and prevent re-contact. Necessary registration, payment or service messages are separate from marketing.

The optional marketing checkbox on a website enquiry form is separate from submitting an enquiry. Declining marketing does not prevent an enquiry from being answered. Consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

5. Sharing information

Information may be shared, where necessary for the relevant purpose, with service providers supporting website hosting, email delivery, campaign and contact management, event administration, payments, accounting and professional advice. Providers acting on our behalf must process personal information under appropriate instructions and safeguards.

Information may also be shared with the relevant Wisdom event organiser, and with venues, exhibitors, sponsors or other event partners where needed and where the relevant event notice and applicable legal basis permit it. Sponsorship alone does not give a partner unrestricted access to contact lists.

Information may be disclosed where required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a business reorganisation or transfer, subject to applicable protections. This notice does not authorise unrelated resale of corporate website enquiry or event registration data.

6. International processing and retention

US events and international service providers may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Where EU data-protection law applies, a restricted international transfer requires an applicable legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards, together with any additional measures required. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data or how to obtain a copy.

Retention depends on the purpose: the time needed to deal with an enquiry or event, the continuing relevance of a business relationship, applicable accounting and legal recordkeeping requirements, and the need to handle claims. Information should not be retained longer than necessary for those purposes. Suppression records may be kept for as long as needed to respect marketing objections. 7. Your data-protection rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or portability of your personal information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. The right to object to direct marketing applies at any time.

Send requests to info@wisdom.events. Proportionate verification may be needed to protect your information. Where the GDPR applies, requests are normally answered within one month, with extensions only where permitted by law. You may complain to Lithuania's State Data Protection Inspectorate or another competent supervisory authority.

8. Cookies, event recordings and children

The website may use cookies, tags and similar technologies for functionality and analysis. Non-essential technologies require consent where applicable law requires it; browser settings alone do not replace that requirement. You can also control cookies through your browser, although disabling some may affect website functions.

Event photographs and video recordings may feature participants. The relevant event notice or agreement explains their purposes and legal basis, including promotional uses where permitted. Where a use relies on consent, that consent may be withdrawn.

Our services are not directed to children under 13. If information about a child under 13 has been collected without an appropriate basis, contact us so it can be addressed and deleted where required.

9. Other websites and policy updates

Linked websites and separate event websites may have their own privacy notices. This corporate policy does not replace those notices. Updates to this policy will be posted here with a revised date, with additional notice of material changes where required. An update does not retrospectively create consent.
